» A lesson from a 7yearold persuasion master from Blair Warren's Crooked Wisdom
Heres a great little article that a reader just brought to my attention. Given my belief that we are born persuaders and simply lose our ability as we get older and wiser, this one really resonated with me. Heres ... [Read More]

Hi Tony,

I remember doing this as a kid, not just with my parents, but with the universe. It never failed I got what I wanted, and I feel that we never lose that ability, as we're simply just acting/thinking in accordance with universal laws. I still gravitate towards the things I desire now, except I notice that when I was younger, things happened sooner, and with accuracy because I CLEARLY defined what I wanted. Now i'm doing it deliberately/conciously. It's amazing how vague I have become as a complex adult. And if I wasn't vague, I lacked the ability to "let go" and prioritized my desires. I would want them all at once, therefore scattering my energy, my time, and resources into all the little projects, and goals I had, in fear that If I didn't focus on them all at once, there'd be some type of regret. Now I'm focusing on taking on one or two things at a time. This works, because well, the things I desire require the energy, focus, and attention...that cannot be scattered. Defining which one to work on first has been hard, but that's something that has to be done. And I feel that letting go of the fear of loss/regret that caused me to put so much on the plate was crucial.

Hi Boreth,

A while back, a customer wrote me saying something to the effect that while she was reading "The Science of Abundant Life" by Wallace D. Wattles for the very first time, she had this "eerie" feeling in the pit of her gut that somehow she already knew all this "stuff".

Hmmm...

Interesting. :-)

Thanks for the great comment!

Tony
