Tony Mase here...
As you may know, a few months ago, I sent an email to my customers and Constructive Science Newsletter subscribers asking them for the most "burning question" they had, related to the writings of Wallace D. Wattles and/or the subjects he wrote about, that they'd like to see me answer in an upcoming Constructive Science Newsletter article.
Many of the questions I received don't require an entire article to answer, but, as they're important to those who asked, I want to take the time to answer them.
Here are four more of them:
1. "Tony, why does the LOA (law of attraction) work for some people and not others? Is the bottom line BELIEF! Belief in one self and in the Universe? Thanks."
You're welcome. :-)
First of all...
Just to set the record straight...
Let me start out by saying...
Although much is attributed to him on the subject, Wallace D. Wattles, at least to the best of my knowledge, never wrote anything about this so-called "law of attraction" (LOA) you hear so much about lately...
There's a bit more to his philosophy than that. :-)
That being said...
Why one person gets what they want and another doesn't is a difficult question to answer without knowing the specifics of a situation (and even then it's not easy as I have no way of knowing for sure if/how what's coming out of someone's mouth differs from what's *really* going on).
However...
Based on all the "LOA" (law of attraction) and "manifesting" (a word rarely used by Wallace D. Wattles in his writings and, when he used it, it was normally in a totally different context than the way it's being used by many today) questions I receive (and they're voluminous!), I can tell you in general most folks are "missing the boat" on one important thing...
ACTION!
And...
As a matter of fact...
Interestingly enough...
Wallace D. Wattles addressed this very matter in Chapter 11 (a chapter, based on many of the questions I receive, I think, for whatever reason, a whole lot of folks just "skip" over) of The Science of Getting Rich when he wrote:
"Thought is the creative power, or the impelling force which causes the creative power to act; thinking in a Certain Way will bring riches to you, but you must not rely upon thought alone, paying no attention to personal action. That is the rock upon which many otherwise scientific metaphysical thinkers meet shipwreck - the failure to connect thought with personal action."
Here's the deal...
As Wallace D. Wattles put it so well later in Chapter 11 of The Science of Getting Rich:
"Do not give your creative impulse to Original Substance, and then sit down and wait for results; if you do, you will never get them."
And that in a nutshell describes *EXACTLY* what most folks do...
They give their "creative impulse to Original Substance, and then sit down and wait for results".
The result?
They "never get them".
It's that simple! :-)
So...
While belief or more importantly *faith*, absolute faith that you'll get what you want, is certainly part of the equation in getting what you want, there's an *equally* important part of the equation that, sadly, most folks never "get"...
ACTION!
Thought plus action...
Constructive thought plus constructive action equals success ("success" being defined by Wallace D. Wattles in his book How to Get What You Want as "getting what you want").
Here's something for you to ponder...
It comes from Lesson 4 of The Personal Power Course by Wallace D. Wattles:
"Do not sit down and try to ATTRACT the thing you want to you; but begin to move toward the thing you want, and you will find it coming to meet you. Action and reaction are equal; and the person who steadily and purposefully moves forward with one thing in view becomes a center toward which the thing he seeks is drawn with irresistible power..."
Therein lies the *REAL* secret of "attraction"...
I hope this helps. :-)
Thanks for your question!
2. "Hi Tony you are a wonderful person. Please how can I discover my talent or develop my talent. I've being praying about it. Please help me any way you can. I will really appreciate it in life. I'm a nursing mother with 2 children, because of the type of work am doing I've no time for my children. This question is very important to me. Please help."
Here's the deal...
You already have *ALL* the talent, either in a developed or undeveloped state, to do *ANYTHING* you *WANT* to do.
Therefore the question becomes one of...
What do you *WANT* to do?
Now...
That being said...
I'm considering writing an entire ebook on this subject at some point down the road a bit, but, as this is important to you right now, let me give you the "gist" of it...
There's one thing you like (*like* being the keyword here) to do more than practically anything else and, odds are, you're *really* good at. I call this "thing"...
Well...
Your "thing". :-)
So...
My advice to you is...
Figure out what your "thing" is and then figure out how to make money doing your "thing" (any "thing" can be turned into a business of what sort or another) and doing it in such a way that you can spend the time you want to spend with your children.
You're a wonderful person too...
I hope this helps. :-)
By the way...
While we're on the subject...
I'll have more to say on this in a couple of weeks...
But...
If you've been looking for a *REAL* home business that can make you *REAL* money and can be started for practically nothing, I *highly* recommend you take a look at:

3. "In order to act, need to apply forces. How I do it?"
I'm assuming you're referring to the opening line of The Personal Power Course by Wallace D. Wattles, which reads:
"In order to get what you want, you must act; and in order to act, you must apply force."
How do you apply force (there's only one)?
I suggest you get the ebook, read it, and, if you're serious about getting what you want, do *EXACTLY* what it tells you to do.
You can get it from:

Now...
I don't mean to come across as abrupt or rude here...
However...
This question is typical...
And I'm not implying it's the case here...
Of a whole lot of questions I get from folks don't want to spend a dime, nor the least little bit of mental and/or physical effort, yet somehow expect results in their life.
Here's a hint...
It doesn't work that way!
If you think it does...
You're in the wrong place...
Really!!
That being said...
On a more "positive" note...
If I gave an award for the most interesting question I've been asked in the last year, this one would certainly be in the running, if not its recipient...
4. "Dear Tony, my question concerns what I may call 'right livelihood'."
"Wallace D. Wattles has taught that everything is governed by law, so are love relations (his writings do address 'marriage' rather than 'being in love' in general). Right livelihood brings about wealth, health and happiness."
"Now, I wonder how the topic of homosexuality (or divorce) plays in this system. Are the teachings of Wallace D. Wattles directed to married straight non-divorced people with children (families), as it has been the ideal back in those days?"
"The question is very important; because Wallace D. Wattles says that if you miss in one area, it may affect all other areas as well (i.e. you cannot be successful in business if you are a lousy father etc). So, what should a homosexual/gay person, or a divorced person, do? Are they 'failures'? Is this lifestyle not in accordance with universal laws?"
Everything in my extensive study of Wallace D. Wattles' writings, tells me Wallace D. Wattles was very much a "live and let live" kind of guy, nor was Wallace D. Wattles one to make "moral" judgments and/or "preach".
As I read your question(s), two passages from Wallace D. Wattles' writings immediately came to mind...
First...
This one from Agitation and Reform Work, the fourth of fifteen articles in Wallace D. Wattles' Lessons in Constructive Science series:
"Mind your own business, and give God a chance to finish His work in His own way. He is doing it a great deal better than you could, if you were in His place."
"This applies to all agitators for the betterment of social and moral conditions. Suppose your neighbor does smoke; it is none of your business, so long as he does not blow the smoke in your face. Suppose he does chew tobacco; that is none of your business, so long as he does not spit where you have to drag your skirts through it. Whenever his 'bad' habits begin to be a nuisance to you, you have a right to demand their regulation; and not otherwise. Live your own life, and make the most of yourself in every way; and mind your own business."
Second...
This one from Ideals and How to Form Them, the last of the fifteen articles in Wallace D. Wattles' Lessons in Constructive Science series:
"The law and the prophets may be summed up in these four words: 'mind your own business.' Desire for yourself all that you need for the purpose of living a full and complete life and desire that everybody else shall have all that is necessary to the living of an equally full and complete life. Do not seek to interfere in the affairs of others. Live your own life and let other people live their own lives. 'Whatsoever you would have other people to do unto you that do ye also unto them.' And that simply means, go your way and let them alone."
So...
To answer your central question (my answer to this one answers your others):
"Are the teachings of Wallace D. Wattles directed to married straight non-divorced people with children (families), as it has been the ideal back in those days?"
In my opinion...
No, they're not.
Nor for that matter...
Are mine.
With that...
I'll answer more of your questions in upcoming blog posts or Constructive Science Newsletter articles...
Stay tuned! :-)
To your success,
Tony
