Tony Mase here...
As you may know, awhile back, I sent an email to my customers and Constructive Science Newsletter subscribers asking them for the most "burning question" they had, related to the writings of Wallace D. Wattles and/or the subjects he wrote about, that they'd like to see me answer in an upcoming Constructive Science Newsletter article.
One reader asked me a great question that doesn't quite "lend" itself to a full-length article, but, as I know it's important to the person who asked it and I know as fact other readers have the same or a similar question as well, I want to take the time to answer it.
Here it is:
"Hi Tony,"
"I've tried reading The Science of Getting Rich quite a few times. What frustrates me is, while I THINK I know the answer, it still drives me bonkers is... Wallace D. Wattles keeps saying by doing things in THE CERTAIN WAY, by thinking in THE CERTAIN WAY, on and on, and I run around like that girl in the paint commercial with my hair pulled out!"
"Could you please explain THE CERTAIN WAY to me as it stops me from reading The Science of Getting Rich and it's so frustrating!?"
"Thanks!"
You're welcome. :-)
First of all...
If it makes you feel any better...
I'm asked this question far more often than you might think I am and I know there are a whole lot more folks out there who have it than ask it because they're afraid of sounding "dumb" or "stupid".
So...
Kudos to you (and others of you who've me asked about this) for having the "guts" to speak up and ask it! :-)
With that...
In The Science of Getting Rich, Wallace D. Wattles wrote about "doing things" in a/the "certain way", which he further divides into "thinking" in a/the "certain way" and "acting" in a/the "certain way".
What's this "certain way"?
It's thinking and acting in a/the "way" that's absolutely "certain" to produce the result you want.
It's really that simple! :-)
Now...
That being said...
To be quite honest with you, when I first began studying The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles, I had trouble getting my head wrapped around this "certain way" concept (and at least to some extent anyway still do today, which is why I know as fact there are a whole lot more folks who have this question than have the courage ask it :-)).
In his earlier writings (pre-The Science of Getting Rich, The Science of Being Well, and The Science of Being Great), Wallace D. Wattles referred to this concept as constructive thought and constructive action, which is how I prefer to look at it and, quite frankly, with all due respect to Mr. Wattles, makes more sense to me.
Simply put...
*Constructive* thought and action "builds".
Whereas...
*Destructive* thought and action "destroys".
Here's a very simple example I use as a "model" to make a/the "certain way" make sense in my mind...
If you were going to build a building (a house for example) of a certain construction and your every thought and action were "constructive" (directed toward the *building* of it), is there any way on earth you could possibly fail to build it?
Of course not! :-)
Same exact principle applies to "building" wealth, health, success, happiness, love, or anything else you want in life...
For as Wallace D. Wattles wrote in the preface to the articles in his Lessons in Constructive Science series:
"There is a constructive, or integrating principle in nature, and a destructive, or disintegrating principle - power applied through the constructive principle builds, forms and integrates; it draws atoms and forms together -power applied through the destructive principle dissolves and disintegrates; it disperses atoms and forms, and throws them apart - to learn how to make every thought and action constructive, is to master the secret of all attainment."
Therein lies "the certain way"...
I hope this helps. :-)
I'll answer more of your questions in upcoming blog posts or Constructive Science Newsletter articles...
Stay tuned! :-)
To your success,
Tony

Feel free to ask me anything you like as long as it's a *serious* question and at least somewhat related to the writings of Wallace D. Wattles and/or the subjects he wrote about (which leaves a lot of latitude).
Although I can't answer your question individually, I'll do my absolute best to answer it in an upcoming Constructive Science Newsletter article (or, if your question doesn't lend itself to a newsletter article, possibly a blog post, ebook/info-product, or update) so everyone benefits. :-)

In 'Matter of Attitude, I think I found my answer of how I can get over my block of changing myself. In a comment before I asked how to change so it will be a better life for me. I discovered that it will be having the correct attude and thinking constructively. Not an easy task as we all know. So I am slowly making the change suggested in some of the articals I downloaded.
